English Composition As a Happening by Charles Deemer

Charles Deemer’s main idea and thought is that our education in schools should be modified. I think he stresses how important student/teacher bonds are, that they should really connect on one level and understand each other. Our education should be more interactive and acknowledged by everyone; student and teacher. Deemer also expresses that the “happening” should be based on opinions and participations to make the students educational experience more complex. With the education more complex they learn something more out of it. There has to be a meaning to our education so we can actually apply it outside of school, instead of learning meaningless things that take up our educational time. I think that if we all want this change and actually want to have useful education that we can make Deemer’s “happening” happen.
